  Tour & Event Policies  

Self Tour 

There is no admission fee for a self-tour of the site or any exhibits, and way-finding signs, information panels and interactive features enable visitors to self-tour all open exhibits. See our website home page for hours of operation, special updates, alerts or restrictions. 


Guided Tours

The NJ Parks staff historian can design a complete or targeted tour specific to your group or organization, which may include areas of the site that are not always open to the public! There is even an activity room for larger groups and picnic areas.  Guided tours may be be scheduled Wednesday through Saturday, from 10am to 3pm, and  are subject to availability. Guided tours are $12 per adult, $2 per child.​​

Special rates may apply depending on the style of tour.

No outside person or group may charge others to tour any part of the site.

To tour guides are not allowed under State Law, however, DONATIONS to the museum are highly encouraged.
Simply use a donation box on site.  And don’t forget to post reviews on your favorite media to let us know how you liked your visit. We’d love to hear from you!

Event Policy

For events, including photography and weddings, please click on "Request an Event". Certain group events may require a

Special Use Permit (SUP) issued by NJ Parks, and fees may apply.  Please allow  for SUP approvals and qualifying organizations may obtain fee waiver. A fee may be paid by organizer to a guest speaker, entertainer, or other featured guest. Sponsors may provide funding, goods and/or services to event organizer.  A reasonable admission fee may be charged to attendees. Set up and clean up is the responsibility of the individual.

The Twin Lights of Navesink, at 2 Lighthouse Road, Highlands NJ 07732, a National Historic Site (the “Campus”) owned and operated by the New Jersey State Park Service (“NJ Parks”).  The Twin Lights Historical Society (“TLHS”), as a volunteer-run, Officially Recognized Friends Organization (“ORFO”), assists NJ Parks, in helping to make the Twin Lights Historic Site one of the best small museums in New Jersey.
